Monroe Park is Richmond’s oldest park, but this time I didn’t notice the fountains or the paths. What caught my eye were the flowers — bright orange cosmos glowing in the sun.

Through the lens, they looked even brighter, like little suns reaching for the sky. Every angle turned into something new: sometimes soft and airy, sometimes bold and full of color.

And then came the bees. Always moving, never posing, but somehow making the photos feel alive.

And yes — all these photos were taken on my phone. I can’t carry a heavy camera, but that never stopped me from noticing the small things. Sometimes the best shots happen when you slow down and let the moment find you.
